Ø When Siemens decided to buy its way into the Medical Diagnostics business it purchased the Bayer, DPC and Dade Behring diagnostics companies. Each company had their own set of applications and procedures. In this position I lead the design and implementation of the webMethods based Legacy Application Integration effort. This project integrated 5 Instances of the AMAPS application, 3 Instances of BPCS and 2 Instances of JDE, Documentum and Demand Solutions into a fully online realtime system. This system had 174 unique touch points for webMethods that where funneled into 15 SAP touch points. This created a real hub and spoke design that handled the 3,800+ transactions per hour with ease. This design reduced the programming effort by 91%.

Integration Engineer and Interface Design Team Leader

Ø Developed the companies Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) by leveraging our investment in the webMethods Integration Server. This is allowing us to expose the functionality of many previously enclosed systems to users of other systems via Web Services.

Ø In this position I was leading the company into a fully integrated applications environment by leveraging the company’s investment in webMethods. Each time an Interface is replaced by integrations with it has come some or all of the following improvements: Customer Response Time, Turnaround Time, Data Quality, Process Improvements, and lowered support cost.

Ø As Interface Design Team Leader, I lead the team that sets and enforces interface programming standards. We also limit the ever-growing number of interfaces being hooked into our ERP system (SAP). This is done by designing re-useable webMethods integrations wherever possible. This team also reviews all request for new or modified interfaces. Each request is looked at closely to see if it is practical to redo them as webMethods integrations.
